On November 26, 2005 the Pure Gold Band along with home school families from Ventura County performed in the Santa Paula Christmas Parade. This year they were the 14th in the line-up for the parade. The theme for the parade was "A Family Christmas" and the theme for Pure Gold's float was "Golden Family Memories." For their hard work, Pure Gold was rewarded with a 2nd Prize trophy for the Youth Novelty category.
